Dr. Katherine Charles
Dr. Katherine Charles joins us as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital. Dr. Charles received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2013 and completed her residency training at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital (now Mount Sinai Morningside-West) in 2016.
Dr. Charles is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine. She previously worked as an attending physician at BronxCare hospital and within the Veterans Administration before joining Weill Cornell Medicine.
Prior to her career as a physician, she received her Bachelor of Arts in Corporate and Organizational Communication from the College of Charleston in 2005 and worked in private sector Marketing and Public Relations from 2005-2009. In addition to patient-centered care and medical education, Dr. Charles is interested in Medical Writing and Medical Humanities.
