Weill Cornell Medicine’s Department of Emergency Medicine, led by Dr. Rahul Sharma, Chair and the Barbara and Stephen Friedman Professor of Emergency Medicine, is transforming the field of Emergency Medicine for our patients, our providers and the world with the support of our donors.
The department of Emergency Medicine is home to an expanding and cutting-edge research portfolio which explores geriatric emergency care, global health and innovation as part of clinical care. We have pioneered training in virtual care delivery through our one-of-a-kind Center for Virtual Care. The Department is also home to a growing leadership development program for Weill Cornell Medicine medical students and faculty, exposing the health care leaders of tomorrow to the practice and delivery of health care management in a rapidly changing field.
