Our team has educated medical professionals from multiple disciplines about our program and improving identification of and intervention for elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation locally, in other communities, nationally, and internationally. We have also developed educational materials that medical providers may use to educate themselves and to learn more about our work. We are eager to continue to provide education and training.
We conduct extensive outreach within our community in New York City about our program and how to collaborate effectively with us to protect vulnerable older adults. This outreach is directed at organizations who serve older adults including: crime victim survivors and domestic violence organizations, senior centers, medical providers, home health aide agencies, skilled nursing facilities, civil legal advocacy organizations, and law enforcement.
