Dr. Radhika Sundararajan to Represent WCM Faculty at AAMC Leadership Development Seminar

Dr. Radhika Sundararajan has been selected to represent Weill Cornell Medicine faculty at this year’s Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Leadership Development Seminar for Women Faculty in Medicine and Science.

The seminar provides women physicians and scientists, at the assistant and associate professor level, with skills and strategies to help navigate and direct their careers and seek opportunities pursuant to achieving their leadership goals. Participants are chosen for their demonstrated leadership capabilities and expertise in their respective field.

Dr. Sundararajan joined the Department of Emergency Medicine in 2018. An Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine, Dr. Sundararajan is currently involved in several qualitative research projects that identify barriers to healthcare in low-resource settings. Her research interests also include qualitative methodology, global health, health-care seeking behavior, and the intersection of Western and "traditional" medicine.

Dr. Sundararajan is the recipient of several awards and author of multiple published articles in peer reviewed journals. She earned a doctorate in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania and a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Sundararajan completed her emergency medicine residency at Harvard-Associated Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital/Massachusetts General Hospital.
