NYP-WCM Emergency Department Awarded $2 Million Grant to Sustain and Grow Elder Protection Program

The Department of Emergency Medicine has received a $2 million grant from New York State Office of Victim Services to fund the NYP-WCM ED-based Vulnerable Elder Protection Team (VEPT). 

The VEPT program, spearheaded by Dr. Tony Rosen, is a multi-disciplinary, ED-based consultation service that improves the detection, assessment, and management of elder abuse/neglect victims, ensuring better care and the ultimate safety of this vulnerable population.
