Please join us in congratulating Dr. Neel Naik on his appointment as Vice President of Social Media & Communication for the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Simulation Academy Executive Committee for 2022-2023.
SAEM's Simulation Academy Executive Committee acts on behalf of the general membership to further the mission of the Simulation Academy and conduct its business activities. As Vice President of Social Media & Communication, Dr. Naik will be responsible for promoting the Simulation Academy, growing its membership, and establishing connections across the emergency medicine and simulation communities. The 2022-2023 Simulation Academy Executive Committee will be installed at the SAEM 2022 Annual Meeting in New Orleans in May.
Dr. Naik serves as the Director of Emergency Medicine Simulation Education and is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM). Dr. Naik earned both his bachelor’s degree and his medical degree from Northwestern University, Chicago, IL. He completed his residency training in emergency medicine and a simulation fellowship at New York University-Bellevue Hospital before joining the Department of Emergency Medicine at WCM in 2016.
In 2019, Dr. Naik received the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Simulation Academy Innovator Award. This national award recognizes an individual who has demonstrated creative, novel and transformative use of medical simulation.
