Jean Scofi, M.D., M.B.A. Elected to Epic Emergency Steering Board

Dr. Jean Scofi, assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine, was recently elected to the Epic Emergency Medicine Steering Board. The board is a national committee that brings together emergency medicine informatics experts from across the country with the goal of establishing EHR best practices and improving the Epic experience for emergency medicine providers.
Dr. Scofi currently serves as the Director of Informatics & Analytics and Director of Healthcare Leadership & Management Fellowship for the Department of Emergency Medicine. She also serves as Assistant Medical Director of Information Services for the Weill Cornell Medicine Physician Organization. Dr. Scofi was the physician lead for the Epic Go-Live in the Weill-Cornell Department of Emergency Medicine. She is a board-certified informaticist who has led numerous key initiatives to drive EHR governance, improve data analytics, and support EHR-based quality improvement for the NewYork Presbyterian enterprise. 
Dr. Scofi has held national leadership roles including the SAEM Board of Directors, Chair of the SAEM Resident Advisory Committee, and Co-Chair of the SAEM Didactics Committee. She has also been the recipient of several awards including the AMA National Leadership Award for Excellence in Medicine, the Resident Leadership and Advocacy Award, and the AWAEM Outstanding Resident Award.
Dr. Scofi received her medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine, completed a residency and chief residency at Mount Sinai Health System in New York, and completed an administration fellowship with an executive MBA degree at the Yale School of Medicine and the Yale School of Management.
