Dr. Jean Scofi has been appointed Assistant Medical Director of Information Services for the Weill Cornell Physician Organization, starting June 1, 2021.
In her new enterprise role, Dr. Scofi will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT leadership and project teams to implement and optimize electronic health record (EHR) systems and analytic platforms for the NYC consortium. She will work with administrative and frontline clinical staff across the enterprise to design EHR user configuration and workflows, serving as a key liaison between the clinical user community and the clinical IT staff. She will also provide medical oversight for enterprise data warehousing and analytics, including clinical data modeling and data extraction.
Dr. Scofi will also continue in her current role as the Director of Informatics & Analytics for the WCM Department of Emergency Medicine. She will continue to lead EHR optimization and reporting strategy for the ED and pursue IT innovations to better serve our ED patients and clinicians. She will also continue her role as an Epic ED Clinical Leadership Group (CLG) Physician Lead and Chair of the WCM ED Informatics Committee.
Dr. Scofi has six years of practice experience in clinical informatics and data management, including leading the ED Epic Go-Live at WCM, designing and implementing enterprise dashboards for the Mount Sinai Health System and Yale New Haven Health System, and validating quality metrics for the ACEP Emergency Quality Network (E-QUAL) and Clinical Emergency Data Registry (CEDR). She is also trained in healthcare operations and leadership as a graduate of the Emergency Medicine Administration Fellowship and Executive MBA Program at Yale. She has been nationally recognized as the recipient of the AMA National Leadership Award for Excellence in Medicine and the ASAEM Outstanding Resident Award.
