Dr. Anthony E. Rosen is the recipient of the 2019 Society of Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Young Investigator Award. The Young Investigator award recognizes an SAEM member who has demonstrated commitment and achievement in research during the early stage of their academic career.
The award presentation took place at SAEM’s annual meeting in Las Vegas on Wednesday, May 15, 2019.
Dr. Rosen was cited for his “passion for and dedication to research of older adults, particularly victims of elder abuse, [which] have expanded our knowledge and contributed to optimizing care for these vulnerable patients.”
Dr. Rosen has previously received funding from several federal and private agencies, including, most recently, an R01 from the National Institute on Aging.
He is an assistant professor of emergency medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College. Dr. Rosen earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his residency in emergency medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center. He also specializes in geriatric emergency medicine.
This noteworthy accomplishment highlights Dr. Rosen’s reputation as a national leader in elder abuse.
