Dr. Habboushe joins us from New York University/Langone and Bellevue Medical Centers in New York City. He is best known as cofounder and CEO of MDCalc, the medical calculator reference widely used by physicians throughout the United States and worldwide. Dr. Habboushe is also the creator and editor-in-chief of EMRA’s pocket guide series The Basics of Emergency Medicine.
Additionally, Dr. Habboushe brings more than 10 years experience in Emergency Medicine. Prior to joining WCM, he served as Director of Finance, Emergency Department at NYU/Langone Medical Center; Associate Chief of Service at Bellevue Emergency Department; and Assistant Medical Director at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center.
Dr. Habboushe earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College and completed his residency training at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital. He also holds an MBA in Healthcare Finance from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from Yale University.
He has also been actively engaged in Weill Cornell Medicine Alumni Association and was recently appointed President of the Weill Cornell Medicine Alumni Association Board of Directors and serves on the Weill Cornell Board of Fellows.
