NewYork-Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine has appointed Dr. Yaffa Vitberg, assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine and clinical pediatrics, as program director of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program.
Dr. Vitberg joined NYP/WCM in 2014 and has served as associate program director since July 2017. Throughout her tenure, Dr. Vitberg has been instrumental in advancing the scholarship of the training program. Additionally, she is actively involved in both undergraduate and graduate medical education in the Department of Emergency Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics.
She earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and completed her pediatrics residency, chief residency, and pediatric emergency medicine fellowship training at NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital-Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.
In addition to her professional and academic accomplishments, Dr. Vitberg is a cellist in the Weill Cornell Music & Medicine Orchestra.
