Dr. Kevin Ching receives Academic Pediatric Association (APA) Teaching Award for Junior Faculty

Dr. Kevin Ching is the recipient of the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) Teaching Award for Junior Faculty.  Dr. Ching is currently an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and the Medical Director of the Weill Cornell Medicine NewYork Presbyterian Simulation Center.  As Director, Dr. Ching oversees the development and implementation of multidisciplinary teaching programs in simulation for residents, faculty, and medical students.  He is actively engaged in simulation research on the role of human factors in pediatric emergencies, procedural skills success and retention, and the effect of simulation on patient outcomes.   

Every year, the Academic Pediatric Association (APA) honors individuals that have achieved excellence in health care delivery, public policy and advocacy, research, teaching and mentoring through one of their prestigious awards.  Dr. Ching will receive the award at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting in Baltimore, Maryland this April.
