Please join me in welcoming Denzil Coleman, our new Administrative Director for the Weill Cornell Medicine Center for Virtual Care. Denzil is a leader in healthcare and human services with an impressive background in the fields of technology, education, and quality control.
In his new role, Denzil will oversee the administrative activities and operations of the Center for Virtual Care (CVC) and the telemedicine and innovation activities of the Department of Emergency Medicine. He will also work with leadership to develop strategic goals and plans for the CVC, including the launch of new educational, clinical and research activities.
Prior to joining the CVC, Denzil was the telehealth coordinator for the Medical University of South Carolina, where he oversaw the implementation and ongoing delivery of telemedicine programs at a HRSA-designated National Center of Excellence. Denzil is a native New Yorker who grew up in Harlem and began his career in healthcare as a unit assistant at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He subsequently rose through the ranks while serving in several management and leadership positions at major healthcare institutions. When he is not designing and developing telehealth solutions, Denzil spends time as a columnist for several large media outlets, a curator for Apple Music, and a copywriter on health and medical topics.
