Dr. Jean Scofi Appointed Director of Informatics and Analytics

Dr. Jean Scofi has been appointed Director of Informatics and Analytics for the Department of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Scofi recently served as the clinical lead for the ED Epic Go-Live under the guidance of Dr. Hanson Hsu, whose contributions and expertise were instrumental to the success of the Epic transition from Allscripts. In her new role, Dr. Scofi will build upon Dr. Hsu’s foundational work to optimize our electronic health record, develop an ED data management and reporting strategy, and pursue IT innovations to better serve our ED patients and frontline staff. She will also continue her role as an Epic ED Clinical Leadership Group (CLG) Champion and Chair of the new WCMC ED Informatics Committee. Dr. Scofi will also continue to serve as the assistant director of the Healthcare Leadership and Management (HLM) Fellowship.

Dr. Scofi was recently recruited to NYP-Weill Cornell Medicine after completing her Emergency Medicine Administration Fellowship and MBA at Yale. She has several years of practice experience in clinical informatics and data management, including designing and implementing enterprise dashboards for the Mount Sinai Health System and Yale New Haven Health System, validating quality metrics for the ACEP Emergency Quality Network (E-QUAL) and Clinical Emergency Data Registry (CEDR), and redesigning clinical decision support tools as a certified Epic Physician Builder.

Dr. Scofi has held national leadership roles including the SAEM Board of Directors, Chair of the SAEM Resident Advisory Committee, and Co-Chair of the SAEM Didactics Committee. She has also been the recipient of several awards including the AMA National Leadership Award for Excellence in Medicine, the Resident Leadership and Advocacy Award, and the AWAEM Outstanding Resident Award.
