Dr. Anne Katz Appointed Assistant Program Director for NYP Emergency Medicine Residency Program

Dr. Anne Katz, assistant professor of clinical emergency medicine, has been appointed assistant program director for the NewYork-Presbyterian Emergency Medicine Residency Program. The appointment will take effect on July 1, 2019.

Dr. Katz currently serves as both core and simulation faculty at NYP-Weill Cornell Medicine.  As simulation faculty, Dr. Katz is responsible for organizing and developing residency simulation education. In her new role as assistant residency program director, Dr. Katz will continue to focus on resident simulation training and education, residency conference development and wellness in addition to other core APD tasks. 

Dr. Katz earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed her residency training in emergency medicine at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s-Mt. Sinai West Hospital Center. She subsequently completed a fellowship in simulation at Mt. Sinai St. Luke’s-Mt. Sinai West Hospital Center and then joined the Weill Cornell Emergency Medicine faculty in 2017.
